This the second ER389K that I have purchased. The first one lasted over 20 years. I especially like the fact that it has a built in charger. It's a great beard trimmer.

heres a tip if you want a closer trim or shave. remove the blade head and bend the two springs that guide the cutter blade.using a flathead screwdriver i pushed down on the spring right were it is bent, and flattened it a little bit at a time, while checking the overlap of the top and bottom blades.i stopped when the blades were just shy of zero overlap. its been a month, so far the adjustment has not changed and i get a closer shave.

No bells and whistles, just a quality beard trimmer at a very reasonable price. Compact, yet fits nicely in my hand. No recharger unit needed, as the trimmer plugs directly into AC outlet.

Panasonic ER389K Rechargeable Beard and Mustache Trimmer I have had this make & model for several years and the day it "died" I was disappointed that I would not find one like it again. Thank you Amazon!!! This trimmer has the re-charger built in, so you just plug it into the wall. Others have a separate re-charger with a long cord and no place to have it on you bathroom counter. Does a nice even trim too that my wife LOVES :-)

I like the compact design without a separate charger. I miss having a pop up trimmer.
