Reasonably priced, easy to use, works well. What more can you ask for? I ended up buying three.

 unrateable, because returned item before use: it won't accept a Crane water filter insert plug December 12, 2008

Item is probably great, but returned it for refund without using it, because I must use with standard accessory Crane brand demineralization filter insert. This standard filter is inserted easily into the "animal-shaped" (penguin, frog, etc) Crane humidifiers. However, this filter does not fit at all into this "tear-drop"-shaped Crane humidifier. I called up Crane customer service and rep said, yes, correct, it will not accept the filter. He said there is no other Crane filter made to fit this "tear-drop"-shaped humidifier. I must use a filter with my water quality. Thus, however good the humidifier undoubtedly is, it's moot because I had to return it for refund simply because there's no water filter for it.

This humidifier is the perfect size for a bedroom. The tank empties in about a day, so the water doesn't sit around too long to get mildew or mold. The humidifier puts out lots of moisture, and is absolutely whisper-quiet! We have the penguin-shaped one for our son's room, and this one for ours. Both are great.

1. The water container cracked after a few uses. I do not know why it did so.
2. Would have been a really good humidifier, made my room really foggy at times (in the morning), that's when I set it to max, which lasted about 10 hours.
3. Would have been better designed if we can pour water on top rather than at the bottom.
