Manufacturer's Warranty Thirty-year warranty on frame, three-year warranty on parts and electronics, one-year warranty on labor and wear items About Exercise Bikes Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Everything I wanted and exactly as advertised November 13, 2008 This product is perfect in every way for working out your arms and legs. The seat is comfortable and it is simply a great workout.
Olde but a goody!!! November 3, 2008 The Schwinn Airdyne has been around since I was playing football in college. It was used for re-hab of many different muscle categories and was also great for keeping your muscles warm on cold days/nights. When my wife said she wanted one for her birthday, I was estatic! After assembling the unit ( I was reading other reviews about how bad the insructions were....it really isnt't THAT hard to assemble, just use your common sense) she jumped right on and has been enjoying it ever since... And of course thanks Amazon for making it so easy! Dan O'
Easy to Assemble & Same Great Bike October 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this Airdyne as a replacment for our over 15 year old model with bearings that had worn out. I read prior reviews and was concerned about buying it online due to problems others had with assembly. I was glad when I saw the instructions were simple and I was able to assemble the bike without assistance and in less than the 2 hours others had warned it would take. It seemed most of my time was spent finding the correct size wrenches/sockets as it uses both English and metric sizes.
As others have said, there have been very few changes in the Airdyne. They have, however, changed the computer monitor a little and now I wish I had saved my old one because it had a few pre-set programs for hills, dual, and the like. The new computer does not offer these options so you are on your own to pedal at your own pace without the computer to "encourage" you. Of course, the new computer has options like a heart rate monitor, but so far we have chosen not to purchase this.
We still believe it is a great purchase and it remains for us the only exercise equipment we need.
Third Airdyne I've owned! October 24, 2008 This is the first NEW airdyne I have owned and by far the best. The first was used with approx 500-miles on it. I don't think it was put together correctly, although it did last about 8-years before it wore out. The second was a floor model Schwinn Evolution, their top end exercise bike. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy an Evolution! They are not quieter, smoother or better than a standard airdyne. The Evolution has known problems that require special tools and loctite to to fix. I had one bearing wear out three times in three years. Although my local dealer was helpful, Schwinn was not. Subsequently, I opted to go back to a standard Airdyne, and buy a new one. The price was lower than anything I could buy at a store, no tax, no delivery charge, and about 1-1/2 hours of assembly time. Instructions were usable and even helpful at crucial steps such as installing the monitor box. This is the smoothest, quietest and most enjoyable bike I have had yet. Oh, by the way, they work. I have lost 80 pounds and kept it off for more than a year. Although I changed eating habits (Weight Watchers) I exercise on my Airdyne every other day, alternating with a treadmill. I highly recommend the Airdyne and am very happy with my purchase of it on Amazon.
