The Windsor Chaise is a great spot to kick back and enjoy the outdoors. This steamer chaise lounge features a three-position adjustable back to ensure your comfort. The attached table can pull out from either side, making it ultra-convenient for your favorite beverage, magazine, or book. This classic yet contemporary chaise is made of quality Western Red Cedar and is coated with an oil-based stain to give it a beautifully rich look. Over time, the stain wears off, and it will age to a natural silver-gray color. You can leave it as is or reapply an oil-based stain to recover its original appearance. All hardware for the chaise is specially coated to resist rust.

Crafted from beautiful Western red cedar, this chaise longue is 62 inches long and features hidden steel-rod reinforcements to help it endure years of outdoor use. Sealed with a clear preservative to weather rain and snow, the cedar with mortise-and-tenon joinery will last for years to come. The seat is wide (24 inches across) and offers three angles: fully upright, reclined, and almost completely flat, encouraging hours of outdoor leisure. Decent lounge chair for a fair price February 21, 2007
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product after reading some mixed reviews. I would say that the directions could use some more clarity, but other than that, an easy installation that won't take you more than an episode of CSI to complete. I got a cushion for it at Home Depot for $55 that spruced it up quite a bit...I'll be buying a few more of these as soon as the snow melts.
Very satisfied with American Woods Chaise Lounge January 20, 2007
I ordered the lounge on December 19th with the understanding that delivery would be made between December 27-29. Much to my surprise, the lounge arrived in PERFECT condition on December 22!! It was a breeze to assemble (roughly 45 minutes) and is very comfortable. Because the lounge will be used outdoors year round, I gave it three light coats of polyurethane, as the original oil based finish would probably need to be renewed every two months (minimum). In all, I am a very satified customer.

The well known phrase "you get what you pay for" certainly applies to this item. It's perfectly serviceable and is quite attractive but the wood is clearly of the cheapest quality and shows signs of splintering and wearing upon arrival. For example, the notches for adjusting the head of the lounge do not work smoothly and you need to give it a hand so to speak to help it settle into position. Not the end of the world but just know in advance that this is not a high quality product but certainly fine for knock-around.

Bought 2 of them a few weeks ago.
Assembly instructions were not particularly clear, so it took about an hour or so, but I finally got it. Make sure you use the right length of screws for the right pieces.
Chairs look great. You need to plan on coating them with primer as the wood is unvarnished, therefore susceptible to decay under normal weather conditions.
Other than that, happy with the purchase. We looked around for similar chairs, and these were the cheapest around.
