 Sturdy and Easy To Assemble - Recommended! January 5, 2009
We needed a lot of storage shelf space in a hurry when we opened our new shop. We looked into a few different solutions and decided on getting 4 of the "Rubbermaid 36-by-18-Inch Four Shelf Shelving Units".
The units are very sturdy and were very easy to assemble without any real tools. We used a rubber mallet (gently) to make sure the legs were firmly seated, but it likely wasn't required. We also like that these are fairly easy to move around since they are not very heavy.
The units do vary grealy in price depending on where you are shopping. We have seen these at "Big Box" stores for a lot less when they are in stock, but free shipping with Amazon Prime can make it cheaper to order here.
Overall, these are very good shelving units and are fairly strong. Highly recommended!

This shelf is perfect for organization. I bought them for my garage, and it is my third rubbermaid shelf. The first two were the 5-shelf shelving units and I was very satisfied. These shelves are sturdy and each shelf has good-sized width (depth) as well as length. You can get a lot of storage space with these shelves. If you are organizing and need a lot of storage, then these are the shelves to buy. Especially, it comes with free shipping if you are Prime member. Hope this helps!

I love these shelves and have bought 3 of these and 3 of the Rubbermaid 7086RNMICHR 72-Inch Five-Shelf Shelving Unit to organize my very full basement. Two sets of shelves house homeschool materials, 1 set holds games and puzzles, 1 set stores toys in plastic bins (legos, train tracks, Kid K'nex, tinker toys, matchbox cars, etc.) for easy access, and the next 2 that I'm buying today will probably hold boxes of books we have no room for on the bookshelf and seasonal items (camping gear, Christmas ornaments, etc). I'm sure I'll be buying more of these in the future as well. I will not buy any other kind of heavy duty shelving because I cannot find anything comparable at a decent price. Putting them together is so easy and fun my kids do it!

This is a great, sturdy unit. Easy to assemble, lightweight and very strong. IF I were to ask something more of it I would like to adjust the spacing between the shelves although that is not something I had expected in any case. I used 4 of these units at a trade show recently after previously using very heavy and bulky units, this was a god send. I would thoroughly recommend this product and in fact will buy more very soon.

this rubbermaid 4 shelf storage is great. It was so easy to put together and is a strong item with a lot of space. A nice looking piece of furniture.
