Product Description The Generation II FIPK is K&N's ultimate performance product, designed to increase power by as much as 10%. Most FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with a Million Mile Limited Warranty. K&N intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle's engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The filters on these kits are washable and reusable. Most of our intake kits are relatively easy to install using tools commonly available (see installation instructions).

My K&N air intake rocks! July 10, 2008 This was too easy. I got a great price and the air intake kit works like a charm on my 06 Silverado. I have already hauled a bed and trailer full of almost 2 cord of wood 150 miles and still got 13 mpg. I definitely get 2-4 more mpg with the filter. No complaints, highly recommend this to anyone.
Increased my MPG's by 2! June 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I installed the K&N 57-3050 on my 5.3 liter 2006 GMC Sierra 2WD Crew Cab. I do a lot of highway driving between GA, AL, and TN, and wanted to increase my MPG. Before I installed the K&N, I was getting around 20-20.5 MPG's highway driving at a constant speed of 70-75 MPH.
Since installing the K&N, I am now getting anywhere from 22-23 MPG's! Now this is also driving a speed of 71-75 MPH. I have noticed that by keeping my engine @ 1900 RPM or less, my gas millage dramatically improves with my Sierra.
Now don't get me wrong, but this filter can also cause more gas consumption if you have a heavy foot. If you like to accellerate quick and get up to highway speed fast, this filter will do that for ya. But the downside is that it will cause more gas consumption. Wide Open Throttle = More Air = More GAS!
Overall I am extremely pleaseed with the K&N 57-3050 AirFilter, and I would recommend it to anyone who does a lot of driving with there truck or SUV and who is looking to safe $ in highway fuel costs.

Great Price, Great Item May 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Item exactly as described. Great price. Awesome sound.Slight increase in power. Fit perfectly in an 05 Suburban 5.3.
Noticable improvement March 10, 2008 Fit great on my "05 Denali. Instructions are marginal, but easy enough for anyone with basic tool skills. Noisey at 2300 rpm, but made a performance improvement you can feel. Not sure about the mileage improvement yet, but the engine feels much freer, I'm sure mileage will increase. Well worth it at $225 for genuine K&N. Helped with towing.
Very Nice FPK July 30, 2007 I read the instructions before starting. It took about 10 mins to remove the factory airbox. About another 15 to install the FPK. It all went together very smoothly. I do not hear any noise under the hood like the instructions said might be present. At idle and low RPM you really dont notice any difference in performance, but when passing and at higher speed you do notice it. Nice little boost in performance. The truck onboard computer is reporting about 3 tenths of a mile better. The truck doesnt hit the highway for long periods of time and I imagine in time the gas mile will get even better. And as a side note, it looks really nice when installed under the hood. If someone were thinking of ordering this and was not really sure, I would say "go for it".
