ok but will look for better January 7, 2009 Loved the color/was the exact shade of my hilights. Product was a little "gunky", but covered well..until I brushed my hair, then the color vanished. Was effective only after hair was completely styled- as a final step. I will try some of the other products out there to see if there is something better.
Oscar Blandi - You Can Do Better! January 6, 2009 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This looked great on "The View" but the quality is real poor. I am really surprised that Oscar Blandi put out a product like this. I like to see the positive in everything but I don't see positive in this product. It does not match up very well to my hair color and it stays sticky wet for a long time before it decides to dry. I need something quick and not messy. I have a basic hair crayon that I have been using for many years that does the job much better and it is not messy to use. Also, this product was way to expensive for its poor quality.
Not good, wasted of $ December 28, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this from Sephora and it sucks. The darkest color is not good for dark hair and doesn't cover gray at all.
Terrific touch up December 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great product for touching up roots between colorings.
I purchased this pen a few weeks ago and have used it a number of times. Initially I had a bit of difficulty getting the proper amount of product on my hair. It is imperative that after you twist the pen to release the product you blot the tip of the pen. Otherwise you end up with a huge blob of goo on your scalp and hair. The blob stains your scalp and makes your hair sticky. After you blot the tip of the pen, brush the pen through your hair, starting higher up from the scalp initially and then getting closer as the product is worked through. A light touch is all that is needed, too much product will make the hair stiff. If you do apply too much, simply use a comb or a brush and work it through the hair. (This works with a moderate amount of "too much", otherwise you will most likely have to shampoo the product out.) The color will last until your next shampooing.
I have not used the pen for highlighting but it is a great alternative to the "every two week dye job".
